HaLf TeRm!!!

So Kingham Hill is divided into three trimesters. As would be expected, end-of-term breaks are scheduled three times/year, but the unexpected perk is that each trimester has a lovely little thing called "half term", consisting of one or two week breaks depending on the particular semester we're in.

Desperate for a break after a grueling first half-term (longer for Kim, who arrived at the start of July), we figured what better way to begin a break than with a 10 am tour of our local brewery right off on day one!

Clearly, beer at 10 am wouldn't be an issue here:

So we set off to see the sun rise upon the imposing rural building that is Hook Norton Brewery:

Clearly, an old-school brewing operation. They still deliver the beer brewed here to some of the local pubs by horse-drawn carts!

Yeastie-Beasties! Gotta love Fermentation!

This guy didn't look like he appreciated the early morning paparazzi!

We finished up the morning with a sampling of the brews, and discovered a new favorite, Hook Norton Dark (sadly, only available at the Brewery, so we'll have to go back there when you come to visit!. Cheers!
